QFS 450LPH Fuel Pump Hanger -8AN/ -6AN Fittings, HFP-AN274
The HFP-AN274 is a direct drop-in AN fitting hanger for all 1986-1997 V8
Mustangs. The factory hanger from 1986-1993 used a 5/16" feed tube and a
microscopic 1/4" return, so even if you were to braze/ tig weld fittings to
your factory hanger, the 1/4" return tube poses a significant restriction.
Enter the all-new HFP-AN274 hanger. Not only has the return tube been
enlarged, it has also been lengthened, and now extends all the way to the
bottom of the hanger, allowing fuel to flow directly to the bottom of the
tank, preventing fuel aeration. The hanger comes standard with an 8AN fitting
on the feed size, and 6AN fitting on the return side. Included with every HFP-
AN274 hanger is a pre-installed Walbro E85 Specific 450LPH Fuel Pump (PN:
F90000274). The Walbro F90000274 (high pressure version of the F90000267) is a
TRUE E85 fuel pump, it's not only "E85 compatible" as others claim. As such,
every HFP-AN274 hanger uses a corrugated teflon flex hose to connect the fuel
pump outlet to the feed tube on the hanger, eliminating all rubber inside the
tank. A new Viton tank seal is also included, making this a comprehensive
solution for any fox body and SN95 owner looking to make BIG POWER.
